Pastel Craft Bakery began when my daughter started attending preschool and birthday parties became a regular occurrence. Suddenly, we were eating cake quite often, and I realized there was a trend of the kids licking off the frosting and tossing the cake. Meanwhile the parents were often eating the cake part and leaving the thick, overly sweet frosting on the plate. I saw this as an opportunity to offer cakes with complex, yet approachable flavors and balanced sweetness that both the adults and kids would appreciate.
I enjoy the process of designing flavor combinations and creating unique recipes as well as mastering the traditional favorites that fill us with nostalgia.
